"Just thought I’d drop you a line upon our return from your wonderful gite. Although I’ve also left a comment in your visitor book, I must say again how impressed we were with the fantastic renovation work you have carried out and it was, by far, the most well-equipped holiday property we have ever stayed in. We are keen ‘picnicers’ and so appreciated not only the cool boxes and plastic containers but also the chairs and rugs – wow!!! You’ve obviously, like us, stayed in many properties before where it is these little touches that mean such a lot."

"I have just come back from a week’s holiday with my daughter, son-in-law and four grandchildren aged 9, 8, 5 and 2. We all agreed that it is a lovely, friendly feeling house with a good mix of old and new. St Genies de Fontedit is a charming village with an excellent boulangerie, a good general shop and a bar and they really are within a 5 minute walk from the house. The children loved going to get the croissants and baguettes every morning. The house is extremely well equipped with luxurious bathrooms – very welcome after a day’s sightseeing or swimming – and a very good swimming pool which we were in every day, with plenty of room for sunbathing all round it. This is a lovely area of France with lots to see and do for people of all ages. The countryside is beautiful with vineyards everywhere and fairytale chateaux dotted about. The river Orb which is a 10 minute drive from the house is wonderful for swimming, leaping off rocks, scrambling up the rapids or just having a picnic and was our favourite place to go. We had lunch one day at the restaurant there which was fun. We also enjoyed outings to Pezenas, Carcassonne and Beziers – although Carcassonne is even more full of tourists than the last time we went there. The Canal du Midi is just nearby and is excellent for cycling or walking along with avenues of plane trees and the sea is a short drive away. We had a day at Valras Plage which was a great success. So, all in all, a pretty perfect place for a family holiday!"

"The owners have done such a good job describing the features and facilities available, it would be hard to add anything meaningful, other than to say that the property is exactly as advertised. We stayed at the house for three weeks with our four children and their grandparents and we all agreed that it was the best equipped property we have stayed at. My wife is a real Francophile and we have at least one holiday in France each year. I feel like we know what you get with a holiday rental, this property exceeded our expectations. The pool is a low chlorine, salt pool and particularly impressed us. None of that uncomfortable sticky feeling on your skin when it dries. This is a part of France we don't know that well, however we would recommend this house unreservedly and in particular this village to anyone. The village has such a friendly community spirit, everyone is delighted to see visitors and will happily chat and make recommendations. The fantastic boulangerie was a daily visit followed by an early morning coffee in the village café. Our children would definitely recommend the village pizzeria, which has the most delicious and extraordinary range of ingredients - they even deliver! We initially shopped in Béziers, assuming the shops would have a better choice, the reality is that the Intermarché in Magalas (4KM) was all we needed and a far nicer shopping experience. The information pack that we received before our trip was really clear and the instructions at the house made everything easy to find."

"The house was very comfortable, it has been beautifully restored and furnished with flair to a very high standard. The kitchen was very well equipped, plenty of crockery etc. Having driven from Portugal with fresh veggies from our garden we were well impressed to find corn on the cob skewers. There were a range of books and DVDs and an information book which we have added to maps, leaflets etc. Although there were only the four of us would be plenty of room for 10/12 people. The pool and pool terrace just outside the large glass doors was well furnished and well used for, swimming, eating and relaxing with our books. We did enjoy some days at home and particularly wandering down to the local village bar and bakery."

"We had a wonderful stay at your house. The weather was hot so the pool was used often as well as the outside dining table. Your remodel is stunning. We all thought you did a great job of keeping some of the old features while updating the structure. We did not realize when we booked your house that you are in the perfect location to see all the sights mentioned in your information book. You are not too far away from any of them"
